Rachel was Andrew Christies 2nd wife, they had 8 children. Andrew was a substantial citizen in his day. He built the second grist mill in Butler Co., he was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church. During the Was of 1812 he served as a sargent in Captain Storey's Company of volunteers. He was absent from home on military service when William Hughes was born in 1812. Andrew and his wife Rachel are buried in the cemetary of Concord Church.50
